Samuel Blondahl's Halloween Horror serial: La Saveur de la Vie.

Happy Halloween 2023! Since 2012, I have been keeping this tradition up and I love it. I doubt six people have read this thing in its entirety, but it is one of my favorite stories. If you don't know what I'm talking about, ever year around Halloween, I put up a new chapter of my serial   La Saveur de la Vie ( or: The Flavour of Life), a sensual vampire blood-bath ripe for the season. Some chapters  are shorter, some are longer, they all end precisely where they must. The story revolves around an angry young Vampire with unusual power named Annette, her sexy French sire Sebastian, and the villainous vampire neurosurgeon Dr. Matwau,  who wants her mutated brain for study and dissection. To add a splash of utter monstrousness, an ancient Roman vampire goddess named Zosimus has heard the urgent call of Annette's blood and woken from her tomb to roam the earth once again.  Sound good? Since 2012, I have been writing a novel one chapter a year, exclusively in October. I now have a 41,000 word feature length book going into the late game. Chapter XI brings us to the edge of the story's climax, with more sex and gore than ever.   I update this site little more than once a year, and I know little of who may care. I am not doing this for clicks however, I am an artist painting a very large canvass under most unusual conditions. I am doing this because I am quite mad. On some distant horizon, this forgotten blog will be a book, and I will not let it slip, not this year, or the next, or ever, until it is simply, done. So with that in mind, my beloved reader, prepare. September is upon us, and that means Spirit Halloweens the world over are popping up.   Part IX of  La Saveur de la Vie,  Les Morts Lubriques is now live.  La Saveur de la Vie  is a serial horror novel, written in chapters every October starting in 2012.  I forbid myself to write a single word of this story outside of the Halloween season. It is, and always will be, a free Halloween special exclusive to this blog.  Reader be warned, this story has graphic sex and violence, my vampires have teeth.  It has been a full year since I posted here, but yes I am still alive, and yes, I am updating  La Saveur de la vie  at its regular annual time. That's right, before Halloween 2020 (the scariest year in living memory), a new chapter of Annette's tale will be posted.  Beginning in 2012, this story is a full length novel written and delivered one chapter a year for Halloween. Stay creepy my darkling readers. And happy Halloween.
